Today a new bridge stands in the place where the old suspension bridges once stood. The cache is hidden somewhere along this bridge. Best time to visit is early morning or late afternoon. It was also near this spot that Drieka Viktor's husband André and their 4yo boy, also André, were swept away by the raging waters.
Drieka and André lived in De Doorns and were visiting their parents in Montagu-West for the weekend. At about five o'clock that Sunday afternoon, the river was already flowing strongly and they were getting worried about their parents who were visiting some friends in Bonnievale. She decided to call them to warn them about the rising river and that they will be waiting for them on the hangbrug. At ten to six they went down to the river with umbrellas, with little André staying behind in his parent's Datsun 1200. While they were standing on the bridge, the water suddenly rose higher. Drieka ran for safety while André rushed over to their car to try and move it further up the road, but it was too late. The water swept both him and his boy downstream along with the car, with André never to be seen again. Little André's body was only found the next day on the other side of Ashton.
Remember to bring a pen or pencil and some tweezers as well to sign and retrieve the log. Please make sure that the container is closed properly again and that you hide it exactly as found. Keep an eye out for muggles, they can pop out from anywhere.
