Between a Rock and a Hard Place Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Team GeoDillo: The slow but relentless Mother Nature took her sweet time to make the "hard place" grow closer to the rock. When this cache was placed, you could put your whole hand into the little crevice between the rock and the tree. Now Mother Nature has closed the access to this cache. This area is one of many of our favorite spots in Zilker Park, known to most as "rock island". It is the focal point for concerts, climbing around, wedding proposals, and watching sunsets. The cache may have grown closed but don't let that stop you from visiting this unique Austin landmark.

Geocache Description:

This is an attempt to place a geocache at a very popular and well traveled spot. You will need to be most covert in your attempt to seek this cache, putting on your best stealth persona. Weekdays are your best opportunity with weekends being the most difficult but certainly possible depending on your tactics and skills. If you have never been to this most unique natural feature in Austin's best park, plan to spend some time visiting the area.
