Christmas is coming soon!
This will be a Christmas party like you have never had before.
There will be an exchange, but not of gifts.
This will be a Cache Exchange!
When: Saturday, 2 December from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm, or later if necessary
Where: The Glacier Room in Perkin’s Restaurant and Bakery 1390 U.S. Hwy 2 W, Kalispell, MT
Why: Because we cachers need some Christmas merriment when many caches are now covered with snow !
If you have attended a Christmas gift trading party, then you know the fun and excitement that can be had.
Santa has adjusted the rules to keep things simple and not have our party go into the wee hours.
After all, Santa must get a lot of rest before his travels on Christmas Eve . . . . 😊

CONTAINERS . . . .
1. Everyone can attend and bringing a gift-wrapped cache container is totally optional,
but highly recommended,
2. Every cache container must have a blank log of some kind included inside it.
3. Placing any kind of swag in your container is optional.
Christmassy swag would be fun, but any swag will most certainly add to the festivities !

We strongly recommend unique and unusual cache containers.
Make your own, get creative, go artistic or manufacture something,
Use your geo-technical skills.
A camouflaged bison tube, a home-made bird house or an ammo can.
Or, you can go simple, ordinary and plain.
An inexpensive 35 mm canister or a regular bison tube will be just fine.
Whatever you decide is entirely up to you.
Santa will be bringing his magic bag with a load of simple gift-wrapped cache containers for
those that cannot or have forgotten to bring one,
There will be a few small toys and swag items in Santa's bag for those "Little Cachers".
The Little Cachers can either keep or trade these items.

To add to the merriment, you are encouraged to dress up as one of Santa’s Elves !! (optional)
Or just wear an Elf hat. 😊 (optional)!!!!

Once everyone has arrived and placed their cache under Santa’s tree, the real fun will begin !!

PICKING . . . .
1. Every Elf will draw a number from Santa’s stocking.
2. Elf number one will pick any cache from under the tree.
Number one will unwrap their cache and show everyone their prize.
3. Elf number two will pick any cache from under the tree.
Number two will unwrap their cache and show everyone their prize.
4. Elf number three will pick any cache from under the tree.
Number three will unwrap their cache and show everyone their prize.
5. . . . . and so on and so forth until every Elf has an unwrapped cache.

TRADING (simplified)
1. Number one can now trade or keep what he/she has.
Once number one has either traded or decided to keep their prize, he/she is immune
and no one can trade with number one.
2. Number two can now trade or keep what he/she has.
Once number two has either traded or decided to keep their prize, he/she is immune
and no one can trade with number two.
3. Number three can now trade or keep what he/she has.
Once number three has either traded or decided to keep their prize, he/she is immune
and no one can trade with number three.
4. And so on and so forth until all Elves have had their one chance at trading or keeping their prize.
5. The very last Elf will be gifted with whatever he/she has ended up with,
unless some other Elf wishes to allow a trade with them.
6. At the conclusion, all rules are stricken and anyone can trade with anyone else
if mutually agreed between themselves.
7. Now take your new Ready-to-Hide cache and place it somewhere out in Geo-Land !!
