Geocache Description:

This cache is located at a one time popular tourist attraction which also serves the local community. The cache container is camouflaged to blend in to its surroundings. Log only - bring your own writing tool. Please help us rate this cache.

This facility saw its official opening by the Princess of Wales in 1991. I (one half of the mtngirls) know this because I was there. Yes, in my previous life I was the Manager of this location along with a similar venue in a nearby seaside town. Ah - those were the days. But then I saw the light, and have left this cache in the area as a tribute to the many who have moved on and moved out.

The cache container is a heavily camouflaged log only one. Be aware that CCTV cameras operate in this area and the Police Station is only about 600 feet away (not that its open that often!). Parking is available within 2 feet of the cache.

I was disappointed to see how grubby this location was when I placed the cache - although I admit it was half term so there were a lot of kids hanging around.

A BIG THANK YOU to scaryfurryanimals for looking after this cache after our return to Southern California!
