Geocache Description:


Due to the peaceful nature of this village, I have set the attributes for daylight hunting only.

This is the first in my series of caches that start by Church Gates. Parking is available along the road to the Church.

This an off-set cache, the above co-ordinates are for the start of the clues and NOT the cache itself. The final co-ordinates have to be calculated from the answers to the clues below.

All the answers can be found along the road within 80yds either way from the church gate and may be on either side of the road. They are all easily visible so there is no need to go trespassing onto private land or into the churchyard itself.

On a pole near the church,
A few steps you need take.
A small metal badge
Gives the year of the snake 1A6B

A tall red box,
Now there’s a rare thing.
What number do you dial
To make it ‘ring ring’ 6404CD

On the Parish Notice board
For everyone to see.
The date is scribed
Of the Council centenary 19EF

On a black and white gable
Another date you require
Its quite easy to see
If you look that bit higher 19G3

Nearly done with the clues,
You need just one more.
There is a date in logs
Above a green door 1H8J
