Geocache Description:

An easy walk along the Woodland trusts pathways surrounding the village of Fordham. Quite and dog friendly and accessible from multiple footpaths that form part of the Fordham Estate.

The geocache has been placed here by the 1st Eight Ash Green Beaver Troop of Summer 2013 as part of a learning exercise and to get them interested in the outdoors and activities such as geocaching. The Cache is located on part of the Fordham Hall Estate that has been given over to the Woodland trust. The cache is lodged within the ivy clinging to the old tree, it maybe a bit stiff to dislodge but is easily freed so please return it to its position carefully. The location provides a fantastic view across towards colchester and the viaduct and water tower can be clearly seen.
