The "Restin'" caches are a series that will take you to local cemeteries, places of great historical interest. From pioneers and modern people these places are full of interesting information. Please take your time - walk around, visit with the past. The caches are easy to find. Please respect where you are.

A short trip east of downtown Deseronto lays a beautiful rolling landscape overlooking the Bay of Quinte. Located on County Road 2 in Greater Napanee in the County of Lennox and Addington, the Deseronto Cemetery spreads over 10.1 hectares.

The final resting place of many local citizens, the Cemetery is a place of serenity and peace, quiet reflection and prayer. It is also a place alive with history.

In active use since the 1880s, the Cemetery contains lasting reminders of many local families and people who played significant roles in the Town’s history. The Rathbun monument marks the resting place of family members of Deseronto’s leading industrialists throughout much of the nineteenth century. The graves of seven First World War Royal Flying Corps / Royal Air Force pilots who died during training at Camp Rathbun and Camp Mohawk are located here.

The Deseronto Cemetery is a non-denominational burial ground and accepts persons of all faiths.
