Captain Kidd be a plunderer o' many things, He sailed th' Great Lakes in search o' booty an' found plenty. He be a portly swabbie, a man o' girth - admired by shipmates o' all shapes an' sizes.

Captain-Kidd2 Captain William Kidd (c. 1645-1701) was one of the most notorious pirates in history. He sailed the coast of North America, the Caribbean, and the Indian Ocean, plundering ships. To this day, rumors persist that he left behind a great treasure...

Upon one o' his great ventures, he be captured. Captured by th' law o' th' land, an' be sentenced t' be hung. He fought well, but alas, be nay match fer th' soldiers that surrounded th' lad's. Whist captured he formulated a plan t' eat an' eat an' eat until he be too big t' hang.
Th' law thought differently, an' tried t' hang th' lad's none th' less. Upon his hangin'... th' rope broke, ... an' Kidd laughed in th' face o' his captures.
His captures, embarrased, intervened an' concluded that he would be buried alive WI' his bountiful booty that he cherished so.

That be th' last o' Captain Kidd o' th' Great Lakes.

and in th' last words of Kidd himself...a farewell speech of sorts
My name was Captain Kidd, when I sail'd, when I sail'd, And so wickedly I did, God's laws I did forbid, When I sail'd, when I sail'd. I roam'd from sound to sound, And many a ship I found, And then I sunk or burn'd, When I sail'd. I murder'd William Moore, And laid him in his gore, Not many leagues from shore, When I sail'd. Farewell to young and old, All jolly seamen bold, You're welcome to my gold, For I must die, I must die. Farewell to Lunnon town, The pretty girls all round, No pardon can be found, and I must die, I must die, Farewell, for I must die. Then to eternity, in hideous misery, I must lie, I must lie.

However... his booty be nerechallenged, an' nerefound ye be seein'. for Kidd had a final yo ho ho as his booty lay wi' th' lad's, kept in a chest o' secrets.
