As the name suggests this is the rebirth of an old muggled Cache that I found while out with my family walking the dog on Kempsey Common and wondering why there are now caches here.
I had known that there was some kind of cache on the common as a few years ago as my son had found it with his scout group, I have never been able to find its listing so had assumed that it was not an official cache but one placed by his scout leader for their wide game. But on this walk I noticed the remains of a clip and lock box under a small bush and upon investigating found it to be this mysterious Cache box with lid, which I then retrieved, and then to my surprise 50 yards further on I found a faded log book which detailed the original co-ordinates for the cache. It was then that with my fellow cachers, ie the kids, we came up with the idea of resurecting the cache and place it back in as original condition as possible in the exact same position. The log book was beyond repair but I have cleaned the box, put in some new swaps (kindly donated by my little cachers) and a new log book.
This is the first cache I have placed so hope that all is OK with it.
Now for the general information. Kempsey Common is a fantastic place to walk and exercise the dog but please be aware the it is also grazed by local farmers sheep and horses so if you are walking your dog please keep it under control. It is also governed by certain laws which are on display at all the entrances to the common so please abide by these laws and leave the common in the lovely state that it is currenly kept in so that we can all enjoy it.
