This is a medium sized cache located on the edge of the Glenmeal State Forest. This cache is located next to a peaceful beaver pond hidden away down an old logging trail. To get to the state land, cachers must go down County Route 24 in Pierrepont, NY and park on the side of the road, across the road, or pull down the white stone gravel road and park in the field. The trailhead is located on the right side of the field, and I have provided the coordinates for the beginning of the trail. In order to get to the cache, there is a bit of bushwacking involved, since at some points the trail is hard to find, and it is overgrown. So be prepared to bushwack a little and please, PLEASE, wear pants! There are many thorns and bushes on this trail. Also it is not reccommended to search for this cache during hunting season, since this area is an active hunting spot. When looking for the cache, take some time to enjoy the peaceful beaver pond, and explore the many large rocks around the area. If you look hard enough you might find a very special "hideaway." This is a unique cache that has an optional way of being logged if the cacher chooses to do so. There is the log book and there are some rocks that are included in the cache that fellow cachers could sign if they would like to. I felt like it was a cool, optional idea to make the cache more creative and would allow us cachers to get creative as well. There is also room for a few tradeable items to be placed inside as well .
