Geocache Description:

The final in a series of letterbox hybrids based on the Gym Leader Badges from the first generation of Pokemon games, which took place in fictional Kanto. Unlike the Harry Potter Rune Series, which were at the posted coordinates, the Kanto Gym Badge will require you to follow letterbox directions to find the final cache.

The Earth Badge is the eighth and final obtainable badge in Kanto's Indigo League, and is given after the trainer defeats Giovanni, who specializes in Ground type Pokemon. The badge allows all Pokemon of any level to obey their trainer.

Directions:

Begin at the posted coordinates, which are the parking area for the south entrance of Weetamoo Woods. Head north from the parking area until you see a kiosk, then bear right onto the orange tree. Continue on the orange trail until you see a few holly trees on the left side of the trail. A bit further up the trail you will see a very tall and distinctive two-trunk holly tree. When you face the tree, look behind and to the right of it for a stump near a large rock. The letterbox hybrid will be behind and under this stump.

As should be obvious, this letterbox hybrid is located in Weetamoo Woods. You can technically access it from any trailhead, but the directions are written for access from the southern parking area and trailhead. You'll notice a separate container inside with the stamp - DO NOT TAKE IT. If you would like to stamp, please bring your own ink pad, as there isn't one in the cache.

Please visit http://www.atlasquest.com/boxes/clue/?boxId=277542 to see this letterbox hybrid listed on Atlas Quest.

Special thanks to RIclimber for carving and providing the awesome stamp. Hope you enjoy!
