Most scenic trail (Givens-Spicer-Lowry) in the canyon! Adopted
August, 2008, making it more of a hiking than a rock climbing
experience. Ammo can under a rock. Please replace as found.
A little past the 1.0 marker you will hike through a magnificent
boulder display. Then you will arrive at a beautiful view of the
Red Star Ridge. Also numerous unique rock formations along the way.
Previous description: Please note this is not a new cache - it was
adopted by The Texas Geocaching Association and resubmitted. The
cache is in Palo Duro Canyon along the Givens-Spicer-Lowry running
trail. Entrance to the park is $4 per day,per person 13 and older.
The cache is a small rubbermaid container that has been painted
green with various contents and a log book. The best start is at
the running trail trailhead. Round trip is about 4 mi. The cache is
located along the red star ridge, this formation can be found on
the trail map provided near the park gate. Previous hint: (no
longer applies) look for a lonely mesquite tree along a small
ridge
