Another cache on the DeMeritt Hill Farm. This cache is placed on Private Property with Landowner permission. Please park at the coordinates provided below.
From the parking lot, head westward up the path to the right of the schoolhouse. Turn right onto the Nature Trail and stay on the path. No bushwacking is required. Be sure to stop and get “DeMeritt Hill Farm – Nature Trail” (GC1EWRE) on your way. This cache is also along the same route to get the 1st cache placed on this farm “An Apple In The Orchard” (GC18BN5). Note: Occasionally the gate is closed on the main path. This is just to keep the deer out of the orchard. You can easily bushwack to the right of the gate and end up on the Nature Trail.
During harvest season (Sept. – Nov.), there are tons of muggles around. Parking is always free at the DeMeritt Hill Farm. There is a fee if you want to pick apples, but no fees to hike the grounds and grab a few caches.
I have to give credit to a RI cacher by the name of BBWolf + 3 Pigs for the idea of this hide. I found a cache of his here in RI and liked it so much that I had to bring it to NH for more cachers to enjoy. Thanks BBWolf!
