Geocache Description:

CONGRATULATIONS TO A & J - Adrift FOR THE FTF!!

This cache is placed near the summit of Point 13,811, one of Colorado’s Centennial Peaks.  Centennials are mountains that are amongst the highest 100 peaks in our state.  As more hikers and climbers complete the 54 14ers, some of them redirect their focus to the 46 Centennial 13ers, such as this one. Point 13,811 has been given no official name by the USGS and is identified by its elevation, 13,811 feet above MSL. It is the 99th highest peak in Colorado. The easiest approach is via the Williams Creek Trail but the most commonly used approach is via Silver Creek Trail, climbing over Point 13,832 en route to this peak and on the return.

The cache is a heavy-duty plastic container wrapped in tape.  A pill vial containing the cache log is inside the larger jar.  It's hidden in a cavity between two slabby upright rocks, covered by a moderately long rectangular rock for concealment.  Have fun on your hike. Several hours are necessary to reach Point 13,811 by either of the routes.  Both require cumulative elevation gains of approximately 5,000 feet and distances in excess of 12 or 13 miles round trip, much in alpine terrain above tree-line. Go prepared, and don't hesitate to turn back if weather shows signs of deterioration..
