Enjoy a leisurely stroll through a park dedicated to the original settlers of Algona.
There are many paths through this park, and many possible starting points for the search for the cache. Any of them can get you there. Trails are family friendly, but strollers likely won't make the grade. Steep trail areas have steps built in. One (very shallow) water crossing involved to get to cache, about 100' off trail through open timber. Easy find, last 20' to cache will be hard terrain. Park roads close during the snow season, so the hike to the cache may become quite long, and may require snowshoes or cross-country skis.
While you're here, stroll past the log cabin east of the shelter house, placed near the original settlement of Algona, or grab a disc and play one of the top disc golf courses in the state.
