I have always liked riding my Mountain Bike along this bike path and admiring these ships. A good area for my first hide.
This Loch is a staging zone for old warships to be sold for scrap,traded to other countries,or to be used for target practice.
It also was used in scenes for two major motion pictures,Tora,Tora,Tora and Pearl Harbor.
Parking available near 1st stage.
This is a 2 stage multi with different views of these ships.Final cache is a small size lock and lock with a little room for travel bugs.As always beware of the many muggles about and have a fun time.

Note: On July 10, 2010 during RIMPAC 2010
the USS NEW ORLEANS (LPH-11) from this loch was used for target practice and sunk off Kauai.
The USS ANCHORAGE (LSD-36) also from this loch
was to be sunk on July 17, 2010.
Note: In July 2012 during RIMPAC 2012 these ships were sunk for target practice. USNS Kilauea (T-AE-26), USS Niagara Falls (AFS-3), USNS Concord(T-AFS-5).
Note: On July 10,2014 during RIMPAC excercises
the USS Ogden (LPD-5) was sunk for target practice off the island of Kauai.
Note: On July 14, 2016 during RIMPAC 2016 SINKEX the USS Thach (FFG-43), was sunk for target practice off the island of Kauai.
Note: On July 19,2016 during RIMPAC 2016 SINKEX the USS CROMMELIN (FFG-37), was sunk for target practice off the island of Kauai.
Note: On July 12, 2018 duringRIMPAC 2018 SINKEX the USS RACINE (LST-1191), was sunk for target practice off the island of Kauai.
Note: On August 30, 2020 during RIMPAC 2020 SINKEX the USS DURHAM (LKA-110), was sunk for target practice off the island of Kauai.
Note: On July 12, 2022 during RIMPAC 2022 SINKEX the frigate ex-USS Rodney M Davis(FFG-60) and decommissioned landing platform dock ex-USS Denver (LPD-9), were sunk off Kauai.
