Three stage multicache in the village of Szedres.

The coordinates in the heading lead you to the box, which is actually the second stage of the cache. So, you may do the cache as a traditional, just heading directly for the container. But, if you are willing to play the Hungarian way, you will visit three stages and discover the three hidden treasures that we would like to show you. So, it is your choice, depending on your time and interest.
If you visit all three stage, please gather the password pieces that you found at each stage, and send that to me (a total of 9 characters.) besides logging in the logbook.

The Tolna branch of the Bezerédj family
Mihály Bezerédj from Győr settled in Hidja (now part of Szedres) and made it the headquarter of his estates after marrying Zsófia Gindly in 1786.
Szedres was founded by István Bezerédj in 1836. He is not only famous for pioneering in silkworm farming in Hungary, but also for being the first Hungarian noble man paying taxes voluntarily.
His first wife, Amália, founded a school for the children of their serves in Hídja in 1828.
Szedres got its name from the mulberry trees (szederfa) planted here to provide food for the silkworms.

Stage 1 - virtual: The Chapel of Hídjapuszta
In 1861, when Etelka Bezerédj, second wife, - by then widow, - of István Bezerédj built the Neogothic chapel, Hídja was a flourishing settlement with mansion, school, and silk factory. Unfortunately this is not the case at the present. The mansion has been renovated, but the chapel is in very sad condition, but still beautiful in its ruins.

Stage 2 - traditional: The cemetery of Hídjapuszta
The abandoned cemetery is about 500 meters away from the chapel. The monumental black granite grave stone of István and Amália Bezerédj is very impressive. Walking among the old graves you will find the 500 ml cache container.

Stage 3 - virtual: The Chapel of Apátipuszta
Apáti was part of the Gindly estate at the time of the marriage of Zsófia Gindly and Mihály Bezerédj, but changed hands several times afterwards. Its chapel was built in 1832. The facade was decorated with the statues of Saint Vendelin and Saint Florian. Now only the remains of the Florian statue can be seen. The interior was decorated in Classical ornamental style. A recent fire, probably caused by a homeless who found shelter in the decaying building, ruined these.
You do not need to go in the park of the chapel in order to find the 2x6 cm sign with the password.
