Geocache Description:

Well 500 has come and it was time to get some more elevation. This difficult bugger is located roughly 5000 ft above the Puget Sound and quite snow packed.

In celebration of my 500th, I continued in my milestone caching series and got my butt up to a peaklet in the Kendall Peak series. I took the small unnamed one overlooking both the Kendall Peak Lakes and the Gold Creek Valley. The hike is quite challenging and easily worth a 4 star rating in the snow, and possibly more when the rocks come out. I will check it in the spring when some snow melts. This is a simple cache, a nalgene water bottle sitting in the snow and come spring, hanging from a tree. I gave it a 10 ft noose, so it should be right around your shins when the snow melts. It is just shy of the summit in a tree that is about 10 inches in diameter, a youngin.
This is definitely an attempt at your own risk cache and do not exceed your abilities when making the approach. The side looking over the Gold Creek Valley is a very steep cliff/scree field, which has the benefit of expansive views, but very dangerous falls too.
There is not much in the cache, but have let loose a Mississippi and Satellite Geocoin to rest up there for a little bit. I would recommend stopping by the J&S KPL geocache while up there as well, 2 in one trip is not so bad.
Good luck and may the geoforce be with you!!

Congrats again to Ruck who appears to be my shadow on my 1000 series. That was an impressive find and I am glad you rescued my friend's coin to get it moving.
