Keep on and at last you’re back on the summit plateau. A few yards on and a huge path (yes it’s even on the map) descends on your right. A little way down and the cache is up on your left – a killer at the end of the day. Please be careful replacing the cache and stones or they may roll down the hill to join all the others at the bottom. Thirty years ago one hard winter I ice climbed up the rocks above. A good job they were well frozen in place as most of them are now down below. Pendle is prone to flash floods particularly in this area as water seeps out between layers of shale and gritstone and all the landslips you now see are one of the results.
Carry on down and you’re back to a stroll to the start. Hope you had no difficulty in finding all 12.
