Geocache Description:

Back to Farmland

Ploughing in steamy heat

My land under my feet

Linen all wet down

Emerged greens be seen

Treasures from the soil

Carried away for the people

Heavy burden on the road

Can’t hold back the smile

Return with rewards

Harshness be bygones

Shining sign for home sweet home

Engrave me with lovely tone

About Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail:

Leading from Tsuen Wan to Yuen Long, this ancient trail used to be a key communication route between the two settlements. Narrow and rugged by today's standards, the trail is a vital access route to villagers of Shap Pat Heung in the old days, when farm produce was transported to Tsuen Wan Market to trade for daily necessities. Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail is a scenic hike amidst lush forests. It offers a spectacular view of Tsing Ma Bridge.

Starting Point:
Take the buses from Tsuen Wan MTR Station to Allway Gardens. Alternatively, take public transport to Castle Peak Road and walk for 20 minutes to Allway Gardens.

Finishing Point:
Walk down Tai Tong Road for 30 minutes and take public transport at the Tai Tong bus station.

Source: Enjoy Hiking

More and more people have joined the hiking community in Hong Kong in recent years. It becomes one of the most favourite activities of Hongkong-ers even in summer. For sure it is a nice way to go back to Mother Nature and enjoy a moment of peacefulness. Some chose another way to get back to the country side. Holiday farming becomes a hit among many. Some go even further by resettling themselves to farmlands. It is not uncommon to see young people make use of organic farming to making a living.

People used to start walking from Yuen Long to Tsuen Wan to sell their good in old days. Now many people prefer the other way round, starting from noisy Tsuen Wan going through all the way 12.5km to the quiet North-west country side of Hong Kong. Isn’t it a form of going back to nature?

Final GZ may be a bit off but once you get the tool by spoiler photo you will be able to see the cache. Please don’t post any pictures of the cache. :D (The GC code on the cache is not correct. Since I have already written and can’t be erased please ignore it. There should be no other cache sharing that GC code.)
