Rekčių piliakalnis (dar vadinamas Vinavos kalnu) yra dešiniajame Ventos krante, prie santakos su bevardžiu upeliuku. Čia žmonės gyveno ir kovėsi nuo I mūsų eros tūkstantmečio vidurio iki XIV amžiaus. Šiaurės rytų pusėje yra buvusi 0,7 ha plote priešpilio gyvenvietė. Piliakalnyje yra beveik apvali 6 – 7 metrų skersmens aikštelė, apjuosta pylimu. Šiaurinėje pusėje buvusi apie 25 m ilgio ir 13 m pločio terasa. Šlaitai statūs, 8 – 12 m aukščio. Pylimo viršus kadaise apgriautas rengiant šokių aikštelę.
Stovintis atokiau nuo kitų senovės gynybinių centrų, Rekčių piliakalnis visuomet kėlė žmonių susidomėjimą, žadino vaizduotę. Dar iki II pasaulinio karo kalbėta, neva ant kalno stovėjusi bažnyčia, kuri vėliau prasmegusi. Ir urvas buvęs, į kurį metus akmenį, pasigirsdavęs paslaptingas bildesys. Kartą piemenaitė nugriuvusiame šlaite radusi kunigo arnotą, knygą ir vilnonę skarą. Dar pasakota, kad kartą per metus vakare nuo kalno pasigirsdavęs vaikiškas graudus balselis, šaukiantis kiaules. Kitame padavime pasakojama, kad vienas žmogus išgirdęs balsą, kuris ragino sekmadienį, per patį vidurdienį, ant šio kalno pašventinti kryžių, esą, tuomet apeigų dalyviai būtų išgirdę kažkokį nepaprastą dalyką. Kaip paprastai sakmėse būna, neišdrįso šventinti Sumos laike, tai ir liko paslaptis neatskleista.
