I was out on the lake with my daughter for a short paddle around
and we decided to hide some caches along the way.
Just a short paddle from the Guildford Marina we came across this
beautiful Blue Heron wading in the water. This little cove seemed
like a nice place to hang out, there was a little shade here and
nice trees.
This cache is located on Lake Mackintosh in Guilford County and is
only accessible by boat.
If you try to access this
cache by land, you will be trespassing
There are two possible marinas to access the lake, one on Highway
61 in Guilford
County and one off Huffman Mill Rd. in Alamance
County. There are fees required to put a boat in the lake, see
the web site for the marina for a list of fees. The cache is a
small NCGO container hidden near the shoreline. You will NOT
have to exit the boat to retrieve it.
