A roadside cache to honor a soldier's grave site from the Civil War. Cache is hidden very close to gravestone.
Cache is along a two lane highway, since placing this cache a Dollar General Store has been built behind the cache. You can park in their lot and walk to the cache which is just a few feet away. Permission obtained from property owner to park and look for cache. Cache site is the gravestone of Samuel A Jones who was a soldier in the 11th Infantry of Missouri, Company K. He enlisted in St. Louis in 1864 and was discharged in 1865. We do not know why his gravestone is here. He appears to have been buried here at a later date. The date of his passing is unreadable.
