Geocache Description:

Follow a wooded path around the lake, through the rustic, scenic and much less-visited part of Piney Run Park. No admission fee.

3 STARS for Terrain because a) the distance - about 3 miles total, b) a small stream crossing, c) some bushwacking at end.

On this hunt you can enjoy the outdoors pretty much by yourself since this part of the park is so much less used or known about. Deer, geese and beaver are in the area. Beaver-felled trees are common. Near the end, two isolated picnic tables with trash cans are unexpectedly located. The tables have great views of the lake - think Picnic.

Cache is a medium-sized clear plastic container with the usual stuff.

Parking is in an official lot at the end of Martz Road (N39 23.988. W76 58.732) Public access nearer the cache is not available. From the "Trail Starts Here" sign at end of parking lot, bear to the left. After 135 feet, TURN LEFT - DON'T GO STRAIGHT, else you will dead-end at the lake and have to backtrack.
