An ammo box practically on the trail but not easy to retrieve. Located on the Tunxis Trail near the Mile of Ledges, one of the most difficult sections of this trail.
This cache is somewhat challenging to retrieve and children and pets should stay away from the edges of any drop-offs. The cache should be retrieved by an able-bodied adult. This cache's location is somewhat dangerous, especially if icy or snowy conditions exist. Use proper equipment and common sense when retrieving this cache. No special equipment is needed but it may be wise to tie one's self off to a nearby tree for security. This area is one of our favorite places to hike. The hike is strenuous but very rewarding with significant terrain and elevation changes and towering cliffs nearby. 7/3/2010 Hint Updated
