Der Arlbergpass ist ein 1793 m ü. A. hoher Pass und bildet die Grenze zwischen den Bundesländern Vorarlberg und Tirol. Die Passhöhe und auch dieser Cache liegen vollständig auf Tiroler Gebiet. Die Passstraße verbindet St. Anton (Tirol) mit Langen (Vorarlberg), ist 18 km lang und hat eine maximale Steigung von 13%. Eröffnet wurde sie 1787, damals noch unter der Bezeichnung "Josephinische Straße". Der Pass ist im Normalfall ganzjährig befahrbar.
Mit diesem Cache möchte ich euch dazu einladen auf der Passhöhe eine kurze Pause einzulegen. Ihr könnt euch die Beine vertreten, die Aussicht auf gleich zwei Bundesländer genießen und diesen Cache finden :) Aufgrund der Stromleitungen ist der GPS-Empfang hier nicht besonders gut, aber der Hint sollte eindeutig sein.

The "Arlbergpass" is a mountain pass at 1793 m altitude and forms the border between the Austrian states of Tyrol and Vorarlberg. The top of the pass and also this cache are completely on Tyrolean territory. The pass road connects St. Anton (Tyrol) with Langen (Vorarlberg), is 18 km long and has a maximum slope of 13%. It was opened in 1787 under the name of "Josephinische Straße". The pass is normally open to traffic all year round.
With this geocache, I want to invite you to take a break at the top of the pass. You can stretch your legs, enjoy the view to two Austrian states and find this cache :) Due to the power lines the gps reception is not good, but the hint should be obvious.
