On the hill side near Kalivaki beach you will find the secret war tunnel. It is accessed via a cave which in summer months is hidden behind a big tree. The published co-ordinates will take you here.
The cave was used an an ammunition store during WWII and the war tunnel was used to move ammunition between strategic gun positions high up in the hill. In April 1941 these posts were occupied by the 2/1st Australian Machine Gun Battalion. If you would like to know more about this try this link:-

The Cache
To reach the cache you need to first search the cave and find the artillery storage rooms and then find the staircase and count the steps. Once you have counted them continue up the stairs until you see day light. There is a large fallen tree partially blocking the exit but you can squeeze past. Now amend the co-ordinates as follows:-
A = no of steps
N 35 22.(111 - A + 24)
E 24 15.(758 - A + 1)
The cache is located near the exit from the tunnel.
