Geocache Description:

Have you ever been taken short when out caching. How inconvenient! Well here’s a cache to help you out. A fun cache - enjoy. Enjoy your walk around Kit Hill, soaked in mining history, in fact it is a World Heritage site for its mining and part of the Tamar Valley A.O.N.B (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). The Country Park was given to the people of Cornwall by the Duchy of Cornwall in 1985 to celebrate the birth of Prince William. BE AWARE - there are ADDERS on Kit Hill and they are at their most dangerous April to July when they are sluggish. Be careful in long grass, under vegetation & poking around in holes. The cache is placed in an area of shallow depressions which were test pits dug to establish a seam. The site will give some seclusion and should be muggle free. Plenty of free car parking on the hill with car parks at the base and the summit although I usually use the Adit car park half way up Summit Rd. The Summit car park is the nearest. The cache is placed with the kind permission of the Kit Hill Park Ranger and complies with noth park and geocaching guidelines.
