Geocache Description:

Batley Parade is an 'off the grid, beach shack' community on the edge of Bushland Beach that has approximately 30 dwellings with some residents having lived there for up to 50 years.

On your journey towards Batley Parade you may be joined by thousands of soldier crabs, however don't let them lead you astray.

When you close in on GZ you will need to look up into the branches to find a pet preform housing a log, pencil and small swaps. Beware of spikey grass burrs near GZ.

Bushland Beach is part of the Northern Beaches area. One of the fastest-growing suburbs in Townsville, Queensland. Fishing, swimming and water activities are popular and at low tide you can walk to an old wooden shipwreck. The beach is well serviced by a small shopping complex, a pub, playgrounds, skatepark, barbecue facilities and a boat ramp. The ridge running along Goicoechea Drive is popular for exercise and provides stunning 360 degree views from Cape Cleveland to the Palm Island Group and inland towards Mt Stuart.

Congratulations to Frullet for a massive effort to get to the Cache from Cairns, some 330km away at 1:05 in the morning to log as the first to find.
