The Dewey Decimal Classification System (DDC) was invented by Melvil Dewey. The DDC categorizes nonfiction books by subject matter into ten main divisions which are then further divided into ten subdivisions. The longer the Dewey number, the more specific the subject matter of the book. The DDC is the most widely used classification system in the world--found in libraries in over 100 countries and translated into over 30 languages.
This is part of a series of Dewey puzzles honoring cache owners of the Omaha area. Do we know these people personally? Maybe not. However, we have come to know them by their hides--the type, the container, the placement, the difficulty, etc.
Geocaching is a give-and-take activity and we all depend on the time, energy, and creativity of cache owners to keep our sport alive. If you have not yet hidden a cache, please consider doing so. To those of you who have, thank you!
I'm not sure I've met halllilley face-to-face, but we've communicated digitally about caches before, and along with a friend of mine, I tackled many of his "A Road To Nowhere" series last summer. Fun times! Halllilley is a retired USAF pilot and owns many caches, including a few series, around town.
In order to solve this puzzle, you do not need to know halllilley. But, by simply using his hide titles, determine the correct coordinates for the cache by classifying each non-fiction subject in the DDC.
