Geocache Description:

This is a nice spot for a swim and a great place for a picnic. Those with Geokiddies can take advantage of the playground and if you need to refuel there is a kiosk that serves quite a good coffee and snacks. This is a log only so bring a pen.

Parsley Glen is a narrow section of Sydney Harbour with a number of caves and rock overhangs. There is a small beach that has been one of Sydney’s secrets since 1906 when it was officially reserved for the enjoyment of the public.

The traditional owners of this land were members of the Birrabirragal people and they were known to inhabit the Sydney foreshore. There is evidence of the Birrabirragal with a number of shell middens and also some rock art sites. ‘Parsley Bay' was used in 1792 and is the earliest recorded use of this name, the origin of which is uncertain.
