Josef Masopust
Narodil se 9. února 1931 Střimici a zemřel 29. června 2015 Praze ( ve věku 84 let).
Josef Masopust byl československý fotbalový hráč a trenér. V roce 1962 obdržel cenu Zlatý míč pro nejlepšího evropského fotbalistu. V roce 2000 vyhrál anketu Česká fotbalová osobnost století a krátce poté odborníci zvolili Josefa Masopusta za českého Fotbalistu 20. století. Pelé ho roku 2004 zařadil mezi 125 nejlepších žijících fotbalistů.Figuroval na seznamu UEFA Jubilee 52 Golden Players. Od roku 2009 je po něm pojmenován mostecký stadion (Fotbalový stadion Josefa Masopusta). V květnu 2012 byla na jeho památku odhalena u stadionu Dukly praha na Julisce v Praze 6 jeho socha.
Životopis
Fotbal ho učaroval od malička. Částečně zdědil nadání po otci, který také hrával fotbal, ale ne na vysoké úrovni, jako v budoucnu Josef Masopust. Otec mu vštěpoval zásady fair play, které se výrazně projevily v jeho budoucí fotbalové kariéře. S manželkou Věrou měl syna Antonína a dceru Ivanu. Byl čtyřnásobným dědečkem. První ligu začal hrát na fotbalovém stadiónu Na drožďárně v Teplicích. Poté přestoupil do klubu Dukla Praha, za který hrál téměř celou svou kariéru a v jehož dresu, vedle reprezentačního, také získával fotbalovou slávu.
Klubová a reprezentační kariéra
Krátce po válce se stal hráčem dorosteneckého mužstva Mostu, kam se rodina po válce přestěhovala. V sedmnácti už hrál za A-mužstvo. V roce 1949, v osmnácti letech, podepsal přestup do ligových Teplic, za které hrál od začátku sezóny 1950 dva roky. Když nastoupil vojenskou základní službu, přešel do nově se tvořícího klubu ATK Praha, který později působil pod názvy ÚDA a Dukla Praha. V armádním mužstvu zůstal patnáct let. Po celou dobu hrál na místě levého záložníka. Stal se tvůrcem hry a spolu s týmem získal sedm ligových titulů.
Reprezentační dres Československa oblékl poprvé v roce 1954 a za národní mužstvo odehrál celkem 63 zápasů, ve kterých vstřelil 10 branek. Měl velký podíl na třetím místě našich fotbalistů na mistrovství Evropy 1960 ve Francii a především na stříbrném umístění na mistrovství světa 1962 v Chile. O půl roku později získal Zlatý míč, který se každoročně uděluje nejlepšímu fotbalistovi Evropy. V letech 1963–1965 hrál za vybraná mužstva světa a Evropy, v týmu Evropy mu byla svěřena funkce kapitána. Závěr hráčské kariéry strávil v letech 1968–1970 v Belgii. Na vrcholné úrovni se pohyboval do třiceti devíti let.
Z mnoha set utkání, která sehrál, mu v paměti nejvíce utkvěl zápasy Dukla Praha – FC Santos v roce 1959 v Mexiko City a Československo – Brazílie ve finále mistrovství světa 1962 v Santiago de Chile. V utkání v Mexiku vyhrála Dukla Praha nad tehdy patrně nejlepším světovým fotbalovým klubem z Brazílie 4:3. Vstřelil dva góly, byl nejlepším hráčem zápasu a podal lepší výkon než největší hvězda Santosu Pelé. Druhým vrcholem pro něj bylo finále mistrovství světa 1962, ve kterém vstřelil Brazilcům jediný a v dané chvíli vedoucí gól Československa, které však nakonec prohrálo 1:3.
V 63 reprezentačních zápasech (1954–1966) dal Masopust 10 gólů. Svou hráčskou kariéru prožil v týmech Teplic (54 zápasů v letech 1950–1951) a zejména v ATK, později přejmenovaný na Dukla Praha – (350 zápasů v období 1952–1968). V československé lize zaznamenal 386 zápasů a 79 gólů. V Poháru mistrů evropských zemí nastoupil ve 37 utkáních a dal 5 gólů a v Poháru vítětů pohárů nastoupil ve 4 utkáních a dal 1 gól. V březnu 2004 ho Pelé jmenoval jedním ze 125 nejlepších žijících fotbalistů světa.

Josef Masopust was a Czechoslovak football player and coach. In 1962 he received the Golden Ball award for the best European footballer. Curriculum vitae
Football has fascinated him since he was a child. He partially inherited a talent from his father, who also played football, but not at a high level, as Josef Masopust did in the future. His father taught him the principles of fair play, which were significantly reflected in his future football career. He and his wife Věra had a son Antonín and a daughter Ivana. He was a four-time grandfather. He started playing in the first league at the Na drožďárně football stadium in Teplice. He then transferred to the Dukla Praha club, for which he played for almost his entire career and in whose jersey, in addition to the national team, he also gained football fame.
Club and national team career
Shortly after the war, he became a player in the Most youth team, where the family moved after the war. At seventeen, he already played for the A-team. In 1949, at the age of eighteen, he signed a transfer to the league in Teplice, for which he played for two years from the beginning of the 1950 season. When he started his basic military service, he moved to the newly formed ATK Praha club, which later operated under the names ÚDA and Dukla Praha. He remained in the army team for fifteen years. He played as a left midfielder the whole time. He became the creator of the game and together with the team he won seven league titles.
He dressed the Czechoslovak national team jersey for the first time in 1954 and played a total of 63 matches for the national team, in which he scored 10 goals. He had a large share in the third place of our footballers at the 1960 European Championships in France and especially at the silver medal at the 1962 World Championships in Chile. Half a year later, he won the Golden Ball, which is awarded annually to the best footballer in Europe. In the years 1963–1965 he played for selected teams of the world and Europe, in the team of Europe he was entrusted with the function of captain. He spent the end of his playing career in 1968-1970 in Belgium. At the top level, it was in its thirty-nine years.
Of the many hundred matches he played, he was most remembered for the Dukla Praha - FC Santos matches in 1959 in Mexico City and Czechoslovakia - Brazil in the finals of the 1962 World Cup in Santiago de Chile. In the match in Mexico, Dukla Praha won 4: 3 over what was then probably the world's best football club in Brazil. He scored two goals, was the best player of the match and gave a better performance than the biggest star Santos Pelé. The second peak for him was the final of the 1962 World Cup, in which he scored the only and at the moment leading Czechoslovakia in the Brazilian goal, which in the end lost 1: 3.
In 63 national team matches (1954–1966), Shrovetide scored 10 goals. He spent his playing career in the Teplice teams (54 matches in the years 1950–1951) and especially in the ATK, later renamed Dukla Praha - (350 matches in the period 1952–1968). He recorded 386 matches and 79 goals in the Czechoslovak league. He played in 37 matches in the European Champions Cup and scored 5 goals, and in 4 Cups he scored in 4 matches and scored 1 goal. In March 2004, Pelé named him one of the 125 best living footballers in the world.
