Geocache Description:

Cache is on South side of Floating Island, right out in the middle of somewhere. It was called home to native Americans.

Out in the Great Salt Lake Desert, just east of the Silver Island Range, 4 miles out on the shimmering salt flats off the Silver Island loop road lies Floating Island. Native Americans made their way here over 6000 years ago and eked out a meager living in this arid region. They lived seasonally in the large opening but shallow cave found on the south end. This Cave is the Cache.

There is some scrap metal material in the back of the cave, left over from when the BLM was studying the historical/cultural contents. To log this cache as a find:

After visiting cave, go ahead and post your "found it", then email me. Your email should identify what the metal material is. Please do not post any spoiler pictures of the metal material. See my Floating Island cache for more information on this Island. Be safe, enjoy the adventure.

Remember, when it comes to cultural resources: Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but foot prints. dawg ~

Congratulations to jr9999 on the FTF
