Geocache Description:

*** Not at Posted Coordinates ***

Posted coordinates will get you to the parking area.

I had pondered using this one for a while before I became recently convinced it was time to release it. I'm going to apologize beforehand to my fellow cachers, the FTF on this cache will probably be the most difficult. There was a FTF prize, properly themed to the code, and since the FTF has been claimed, I have added a hint that should make this cache much easier to figure out.

I'm basing this code off of one I personally cracked a couple years ago for a contest. To save you some time, it's not ASCII nor any other specialized binary code, it was designed specifically for one purpose. I had thought of a more clever name, but once I saw what the code looked like in this form, I decided the clever name wasn't neccessary.

l-l-l--lll--ll----l-ll-----l-l-l-ll---ll-llll-----l---l-lllll-l--ll---ll----llll--l---l---ll-l---llll-------ll----ll--lll----l--l---lll--ll-llll-----lll--l----ll--l-ll---lll--l---l

ll--l-ll---lll--l---lll----l-ll-----ll----ll--lll----l--l---l-lllll-l--ll---ll---l-lllll-l--ll---ll---ll-l---llll-------lll--ll-llll-----lll--l----ll----l-l--l-ll---l-lllll-l--ll---ll

The container is a small square rubbermaid, and once you've got the coordinates, it should be a fairly simple find (I hope) but Please use Stealth. I'm interested to see how long this one will take the other puzzle solvers out there to figure out, hopefully I haven't given too much away.

Good Luck!

Puzzle update note!!!!!
I have found out that the original way to decrypt this code has been lost from common areas of the net, due do the Planetary Society updating it's web pages. I thought I might have to rework the code, or possibly archive the cache. But, in an epiphany, I discovered using the internet Wayback Machine at www.archive.org, the information is readily available, and should be as long as the Wayback machine stays in operation (which should be indefinitely).

Since the wayback machine isn't google friendly, I'm going to provide a piece of information that will be invaluable to the puzzle's solution. Using it will probably decrease the Difficulty from a 4.5 Star to a 2.5 Star. I am leaving the Difficulty setting alone though for historical purposes, as the original puzzle solvers deserve it. New solvers will learn a great skill in historical web research though. You will be looking for a website called redrovergoestomars.org. Beyond that, I leave the rest of the search to you.
