Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates! The coordinates listed are for the entrance to the park. There is plenty of street parking nearby. The cache container is a small Rubbermaid Lock-N-Lock style container.

I happened to be caching in the area and when I saw the name of this park I locked on the binders and drove over as I knew this park just had to have a cache. :) I am sure you will agree. In the Chicago area we have a tradition of calling out "Hoodie Hoo!" when we find a cache. The reason for this is, say, when you find a cache and call out "I FOUND IT!" all the muggles nearby will look over to see what you found. If you call out "Hoodie Hoo!" they will just think you are wacky. :) Now that I have your attention, :) The cache is hidden just north of the center of the park. The hiding spot will be easy to find. If you are hunting after dark do not bump into the hiding spot. :) Now that you are at the hiding spot, this area of the park could be very busy depending on the sports schedules. You might have to exercise patience and maybe come back another time. Also there are houses ringing the park and when I was hiding there was a family in their backyard keeping an eye on me. If you do get a chance to hunt discreetly when there are people around please do not shout out "I FOUND IT!" as it will attract too much attention but rather a discreet "Hoodie Hoo!" should do. :) Have Fun! PS In the New York area they call out "Huckle Buckle!" when they find the cache. How weird is that! :) PPS Talking to the Geofogies today they mentioned that back in the days before Geocaching they would call out another call. Honkety Honk. :) They continue that til this day. Thanks to Greenback for the correction on the Historical spelling. :) Hoodie and not Hootie.
