Geocache Description:

Easy find at the old Davidsonville Nike missile site (now the Davidsonville Family Recreation Center) - consolation prize if you can't find Nike Extreme 1.

DFRC is the home for many local civic activities: Anne Arundel Radio Club, Boy Scouts, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Square Dancing, Fly Fishing, 4H, and others. The pedestals (see Nike Extreme 1) held the radars for locating Nike missile targets - the missiles were in underground launchers across the road where the Maryland State Police now practice. There is also an abandoned amphitheater and a great playground. For more information on Nike missiles try Google:Nike missiles

The cache is a Gadgetman standard margarita bucket - please make sure the lid is replaced tight. Lots of little goodies in here, especially stuff for kids.
