This year’s Fundy National Park geocache event and trackable coin celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Molly Kool. To discover Molly’s fascinating story find all five caches and read the cards included in each box. As a bonus, a single un-activated geocoin donated by Cache Up NB has been left in each of the geocaches hidden this year. Those who find the geocache first may keep the geocoin. If you are the first to find (FTF) for more than one cache, please only take a coin from one geocache.
The trail head leading to this cache is across the road from the Heuston Brook exhibit parking area on Point Wolfe Road. The first 5 minutes is a bit of a climb but then the trail passes through some beautiful stands of Acadian forest with views of the Bay of Fundy down the steep cliffs on your right. Fundy’s forests and its bay are both very important parts of the Molly Kool story. There are many stories of Captain Molly’s battles to survive in the male dominated world at sea. Here she illustrates her ability to defend her rights and those of her ship.

Le sentier qui mène à cette cache se trouve de l’autre côté de la route de l’aire de stationnement de l’exposition du ruisseau Hueston, sur le chemin Point Wolfe. Le sentier monte un peu en pente raide au départ (les cinq premières minutes), mais il traverse ensuite de jolis peuplements de forêt acadienne et offre des vues imprenables de la baie de Fundy avec ses falaises qui surplombent la baie à votre droite. Les forêts et la baie de Fundy sont des éléments importants de l’histoire de Molly Kool. Sur la photo on la voit défendre ses droits et ceux de son navire.
