THE ORIGINAL, AND NOW DUMMY HIDE HOLLOW, IS 73 FEET DUE SOUTH FROM THE TREE WITH THE THREE VERTICAL TACKS. DUE TO A RECENT MUGGLING, THE GALLON RUBBERMAID HAS SHOTGUN BB HOLES IN IT AND WAS FOUND NEARBY. WE PUT IT BACK IN PLACE TO SERVE AS A DUMMY, AND THE NEW FINAL, NOW A SMALL (GRAPEFRUIT SIZE), IS LOCATED UNDER THE THICK END OF A MEDIUM SIZED DOWN TREE 88 FEET DUE EAST OF THE ORIGINAL TREE HOLLOW. SEE THE HINT AS WELL AS THE REMAINDER OF THE CACHE LISTING.
Slippery, Sloppy, Spooky... could have been any of them. It can be spooky, from personal experience running the course alone at night. Slippery was the most regular condition as this cache course was placed. Now it's headed from slippery into sloppy, so maybe the name will change with the seasons, and if anyone reports a sighting....
So far there have been twenty-seven sasquatch sightings in Wisconsin according to one source. Another lists fifty-six. So there you have it. We invite you to join the search for the twenty-eighth, or fifty-seventh, in this extensive wooded section of the Rat River Wildlife Area. It appears these particular haunts are rarely visited except by a few hunters on the edges, so who knows what lurks here.
A night search strategy seems timely in view of increasing reports of nocturnal bigfoot activity. Please note any unusual phenomenon in the log book and report suspected sightings via the Related Web Page. There is an unconfirmed report that one or more sasquatch-looking humans were sighted on a four wheeler near this particular cache, but such vehicles are prohibited here, so significant doubt remains.
DIFFICULTY AND TERRAIN SHOULD AVERAGE ABOUT THE SAME BASED ON THE CHANGES IN TERRAIN OUT IN THESE WOODS. TO GET TO THE STARTING COORDINATES, TACKS FROM THE CORNER OF THE WOODS OFF THE TRAIL ALONG THE FARM FIELD BORDERING THE NORTH LEAD TO THE ORIGINAL STARTING COORDINATES AT 14.293, 38.985 AND ON TO CLOSE TO THE NEW START POSITION ALONG THE NORTH OF THE DRAINAGE POND, OR, AND PERHAPS EASIER, JUST CONTINUE WEST ON THE HUNTER'S TRAIL UNTIL YOU REACH W 88° 39.147' WHERE TWO TACKS ON THE SOUTH (LEFT) SIDE OF THE TRAIL MARK A WAY TO GO SOUTH TO THE NEW START. YOU MAY HAVE TO VEER TO THE WEST A FEW FEET TO AVOID A LITTLE BUSHWHACKING THERE DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU HEAD IN.
Terrain and difficulty are set based on anticipated averages with warmer weather conditions and that it is a night cache with some navigation required at the final. It will be wetter in there during the spring months. Cache name inspired by the log book weeks before the new tv show surfaced. All sasquatch sightings near this cache need to be fully documented.
