Straight-forward cache located at the parking area at the new
trailhead for Mt. Yonah.
Small lock-n-lock placed as incentive for cachers to 'come and
climb the mountain' and grab a nearby cache also. Some of the best
views in Northeast Georgia are up there. The flow of visitors
slowed a few years ago, however, when owners of the private land
that surrounds the public rock face closed Yonah Mountain Road, the
area's only access route. With this NEW Forest Service trail and
parking location, everyone can enjoy this unique site.
Be wary of local wildlife - Bears, Scorpions and Rattlesnakes have
been spotted in the area.
