Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the end of the Myrtle Creek Trail off Hwy. 199

Locate the Myrtle Creek Trail near Myrtle Beach river access off Hwy. 199. The one mile long trail is exceptionally pretty. The trail is lined with ferns, rhodies, cedars, and even has a darlingtonia bog.

When you get to the end of the trail, continue straight about 30 paces. Look for an old rotten root wad on your left. Behind the root wad are two dead trees that are riddled with woodpecker holes. The cache is located behind the root wad in a white 2 gallon bucket.

Since we placed this cache in December, we filled it with Christmas goodies:

1. A very unique first finder's certificate
2. A glass angel
3. A Christmas candle holder
4. Four small wooden ornaments
5. A "fish" ornamnet that only a true angler could love
6. A glass tree
7. Other assorted ornaments and
8. "Slalom Snowman" a cool travel bug.
