"Paleoman's Winter Blues Multicache" Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Paleoman52: There has been a change of ownership of the Greenway. It is now in the hands of Letchworth State Park and the policy now will be for caches to be permitted by the office in Letchworth Park. I have decided to archive this cache and open up this spot for any newly placed, permitted caches. Thanks to all that visited this cache and for your nice logs on your adventure.

Geocache Description:

You will be looking for a 3 stage multi cache with a small container at the final. This cache is part of the "Beehive challenge".

Have the winter blue’s set in yet, and you feel yourself longing for warm, sunny days?, well, Spring will be here before we know it, so in the meantime, I set out this tough little multi to help keep your caching skills sharp! Now I would like to make it clear that if anyone that tries this cache feels uncomfortable about retrieving the final, don’t do it, and don’t put yourself in harm’s way. There is no shame in knowing your limits and level of safety. But remember this, if the ol’ caveman can place this cache, you should have no trouble retrieving it. Old man winter could make this a tough cache if he decides to really take hold and give us his best shot.

So getting back to the cache, what you are looking for at the first leg is coordinates. They are out in the open and should pose no problem locating them. After you have found the information you seek at the first leg, go to the second leg and search for a well hidden container that holds the coordinates you will need to go to the final. Once you have arrived in the final location, look for a small container that holds a logbook and some various swag items. I have included one of my hand chipped arrowheads for the lucky first finder and a Mr. Scribbles art piece on a flint chip. Sometimes the most direct route is not always the best route so to avoid getting caught up in a bunch of thorns or thick brush, look for an easier way to get to where you need to look.

I hope you enjoy this fun and challenging multi. Remember not to take risky chances, and please rehide each part of this cache exactly as I have placed it, so that other finders have the same experience you had.

****As part of the challenge I would ask that you mention in your log the position you placed in finding this cache, (ex.- logged in 4th to find) This will help the score keeper to keep track of the points awarded for the challenge for each cacher that completes the cache.****

NOTE! **I have checked leg #2 a couple of times and the GPS seems to lead you there but drifts off 20+ feet when you are right at the hide, so keep this in mind when you look for this leg.**
