This section of the greenway winds along underneath the elevated Donghaochong (Tung Ho Chung) expressway, which in turn winds between - and sometimes directly above - the densely packed buildings. The canal here was still paved over during the initial greenway implementation in 2010, but was opened up in phase 2 of the project around 2015.
It's often used as a public space by residents from the nearby Huanghua Lu, which can be accessed via an alleyway. There's also a regular flow of people and bikes just passing by, as the greenway provides a convenient connection to the Xiaobei area while avoiding the traffic roads.
