Twomile Run Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

rcm999: While out doing my morning walk, I decided to go the old long route. I discovered that this and the other caches along the way had met with a bit of new signage resistance and/or household garbage dumping. I know these have been on again/off again, but I feel that the off again has won out. Therefore, I am archiving to prevent cachers from encountering any unpleasantries in the future. Thanks to everyone who hunted and favored.

Geocache Description:

Twomile Run is a tributary of Kettle Creek in Clinton County, Pennsylvania, in the United States, and is 4.5 miles long. Tributaries of the stream include Huling Branch and Middle Branch Twomile Run. The stream flows through Leidy Township and Noyes Township. The stream's watershed has an area of approximately 9 square miles. Coal is mined in the watershed. Most of the acid mine drainage in Kettle Creek comes from Twomile Run.

The cache you're hunting is nowhere close to Twomile Run, nor is it historical in any fashion. It is however, a two mile walk or run or jog from my home - hence, the name. And is very close to a small no-name stream which likely is nothing more than contained run-off. The cache is a test strip container with a log only. Parking is about 100 from the cache off the side of the road. This is a small back-country road, but sometimes is traveled by those who are less than careful, so keep an eye out and be safe.
