The monument to the sheepherd was sculpted in honor of the region's shepherds, who are an important part of the culture and development of Magallanes.
El monumento al ovejero fue esculpido en honor a los ovejeros de la región, quienes son parte importante de la cultura y del desarrollo de Magallanes.
The work is composed of twelve figures:
- The flock master.
- The horse, Santiago.
- The dogs, Black and Brave.
- And eight sheep.
La obra está compuesta por doce figuras:
- El ovejero
- El caballo Santiago
- Los perros Black y Valiente
- Y ocho ovejas.
The cache is on the side of the monument, in one of the fragments of the poem "El ovejero de mi tierra", by José Grimaldi.
