This cache is located on the edge of what is known at the Los Lunas Campus. This site was once known as the Los Lunas Hospital and Training School, a facility for the "mentally handicapped". At one time this facility was a self sustaining campus that housed more than 300 individauals before it was closed down in the 1990s. The fields were operated most recently by the staff and students of the Los Lunas High School Agriculture Department, Los Lunas FFA Members, and many other community minded people maintain and sell hay off of the two alfalfa fields in front of the campus. In 2019, this program was discontinued. Out of respect for these individuals and their hard work, please do not wander through the fields trying to grab this cache.
