Geocache Description:

You must read the cache page for requirements to log this cache. This is a "Challenge Cache", failure to follow the listed rules WILL result in your log being deleted.

I have been looking at cache stats a lot lately, and I have noticed a lot of things. One thing is that some cachers do pay attention to statistics and all that information that we associate with caching.

One stat that jumped out at me is Cache Container Size.

We have micro (which includes micro, nano, pico), small, regular, large and unknown sizes.

The most common cache size is a micro.

Let's face it! They're easy to hide, cheap to get, can make a simple hide a challenge, and if they go missing...who cares?

One thing I used to do when I first started hiding caches was placing caches anywhere. Almost for the sake of placing caches. Then I realized what I was doing. I was cheating cachers of something wonderful. If I took the time to put out a cache, and you cachers are taking the time to go and find it....shouldn't it be big enough to suit the area.
ie..: You're not gonna put out a micro in the middle of a forest when there are plenty of hiding spots for an ammo can are ya?

Of course not...

So this challenge cache is for those of you who prefer finding an ammo can filled with swag, Travel Bugs, or Geocoins, to simply a 35mm film canister with a logbook and maybe a small pencil.

The cache is at the posted co-ordinates, but in order to be able to log this cache, you will already have had to find a number of regular sized caches. So many regular sized caches that it must be more than 25% of your total caches found.

To make it simple...if you have found 1000 caches, at least 250 of them should be regular sized. It doesn't matter if they're traditionals, multis, or puzzles caches.
Just as long as they total more than 25% of your total number of caches found.

If you don't meet these requirements, that is fair enough, but you will have the opportunity in time as you continue caching.

I personally, have taken a solemn vow to put out no more micros (unless it's a FMS cache) and to place caches that are big enough to suit the surroundings of the area of my choosing.

There is no time restraint nor is there any area restraints. They can be anywhere, anytime, any type!!

Please follow these rules to maintain a level playing field for everyone. Please keep the spirit of "The Challenge" in mind.

Please keep to these simple rules to keep things fun for everybody.

You might find it beneficial to use a program like CacheStats or a macro from GSAK and upload a screen capture or add it to your profile page.. It is up to you to prove that you have met the requirements and document it for me. It can also be done simply by going through your own found list. I will accept this method but in your log you will have to summarize from each page of 20 finds how many are regular. For those of you that have many pages of finds this might be a tedious process and you might prefer the option of using a program instead.

It's as simple as that!!

The one thing I do ask is that you go and look for the cache once you meet the requirements....none of this, I'll find it now and eventually do what is required to meet the challenge.

Now let's have some fun and happy caching!!
