Is that a frog or a toad? Chances are that if you find the animal in question in your flowerbed, then it’s most likely a toad. Toads are more land based than frogs are, and also tend to have drier, bumpier skin. In addition, toads don’t rely on long legged jumps to avoid danger like frogs do. Instead they depend on the enlarged poison glands on their backs which make them taste bad to predators.
To participate in the Metro Parks GeoTrail go to www.metroparks.net/geotrail-2017 to find complete instructions. Download and print the GeoTrail page and complete at least 15 GeoTrail caches. As you find the caches fill in the cache clues on the GeoTrail page. The first 100 teams to return their forms are eligible to receive a Metro Parks Geocoin.
