Geocache Description:

This cache leads you to an interesting historical structure that has survived the tide of development in the area. There is a plaque nearby that explains what it was for. I love finding old stuff like this!

Although it is possible to park your car near this cache, I would encourage you to park a few yards down the street to avoid attention from neighbors right across the street.

The best place to park is on the opposite side of the bridge at these coordinates:
N 37° 13.323
W 121° 51.110

In addition to the nearby neighbors, there is a surprising number of cars that drive by even though it’s a somewhat remote location. Please be extra stealthy when taking and replacing the cache container.

As tempting as it might be to go inside this structure, the cache is not located there or anywhere around the sides or top of it. You do NOT need to climb the fence. The cache has room for trade items small enough to fit through a 1” opening.

Final note: Part of the cache container is delicate. It’s easily damaged if dropped, squeezed, or stepped on. Please handle it with care to maintain its purpose. Thanks!
