UPDATE: 2/5/22: In the years since I've placed this cache, things have changed! Last year during the pandemic, they locked up this water fountain and installed a fancy new water bottle filler at path level. And, even more exciting, last week a porta-potty was installed at the Stanford Ave gate! However, I am leaving the original description below for historical reasons. Happy cache hunting!
The 3 1/2 mile dish loop trail has no amenities, bathrooms, etc except for this one lone water fountain, so I decided to place a cache here.
(Edited on 9/2/05): This cache was muggled twice in its previous location so today I replaced the cache in a slightly different location and updated the coordinates. Now you're looking for a little black plastic container - bigger than a blinker but smaller than a key case - there's no pen so bring your own!
Closest legal parking is on Stanford Avenue, less than a mile from the cache. Trail hours are posted at the entrance, generally the daylight hours. Gates are locked after hours, so do not attempt after dark!
