Flagstaff Lake, Maine
If you’ve never been winter camping before, this is the time to try it. There's plenty of parking and the trail is only 1 mile. It's mostly flat with some short hills and groomed for skiing. The campsite can be accessed by snowshoes or skis. If you'd rather be pampered, the Maine Huts and Trails' Flagstaff Hut is just 1 mile away! There's no charge for camping, click on the link to see the Hut prices and availability
Schedule:
The campfire will be lit most of the time, but especially in the evening. There will be hot chocolate for all, all day.
And, of course, there are several Geocaches to find not far from the campsite!
Check back here before the event for important announcements. If the weather forecast does require us to cancel, postpone or relocate the event, we'll post it here.
If you have a traditional outdoor camping technique to showcase, let me know!
